Sinopsis: Durante unas maniobras militares en un sofisticado avión que transporta dos cabezas nucleares, el mayor Deakins (Travolta), que es el piloto, intenta asesinar al copiloto, el capitán Hale (Slater), para robar la carga y pedir un rescate al gobierno de los Estados Unidos. Pero Hale consigue sobrevivir y y con la ayuda de una ranger (Samantha Mathis) del Parque Nacional donde ha aterrizado, intentará detener a Deakins.
