Kayako Saeki

ORIGIN: A wife and mother of a young child, she had secretly fallen in love with another man at university. She recorded her morbid obsession in her diary, which eventually led her husband to discover it. He went mad, murdering his wife and child before taking his own life. Due to the profound negativity surrounding this tragedy, Kayako's soul (and some of her relatives) was condemned to wander the site of her death, afflicting intruders with the Ju-On curse.

DESCRIPTION: Onryō (Japanese vengeful ghost) with pale skin, long, straight black hair, and dark, bloodshot eyes. It emits a rasping voice and moves erratically, often close to the ground.
