Annie Wilkes

ORIGIN: Born in Baskerville, California, Annie Marie Wilkes graduated as a nurse in 1972 and worked in several American hospitals until she settled in a remote corner of Colorado, where she was abandoned by her husband, Frank Dungan, after two failed attempts to have children. One day, she rescues Paul Sheldon, author of her favorite literary character, Misery Chastain, from a car accident... but Paul will discover that Annie is responsible for approximately 70 murders throughout her life, for which she escaped punishment.

DESCRIPTION: A fair-skinned adult with brown hair and blue eyes who wears winter clothes. She is a bipolar psychotic obsessed with romance novels who masks her ruthless nature with kindness.
