Sinopsis: El Poseidón es un lujoso trasatlántico con 1.500 pasajeros celebrando la Nochevieja, cuya travesía de Estados Unidos a Europa se suspenderá a causa de una gigantesca ola que termina volcando dicho transporte. Los supervivientes deberán esforzarse por emerger a la superficie mientras el barco se inunda y desciende gradualmente a las profundidades oceánicas.
