Tall Man

ORIGIN: Dr. Jebediah Morningside was an ordinary, kind-hearted undertaker who served as a Union Army physician during the American Civil War until, in his quest to uncover the mysteries of life and death, he began experimenting with interdimensional travel and studying the connection between the world of the living and the realm of the dead. After perfecting a machine that would allow him to travel between worlds, he stepped through the gateway... only to return later as the cold and malevolent "Tall Man." It can only be speculated that Jebediah's body was possessed by another intelligence while he was in a different dimension, or that his physical likeness was assumed by some malevolent entity from another world while it killed the original man. It could also be that his experiences radically changed him.

DESCRIPTION: A tall, male humanoid with white hair and a habit of raising one eyebrow and making other facial expressions. He always wears a black tuxedo, and his goal is to become the Lord of the Dead. To achieve this, he travels from town to town discreetly stealing corpses from cemeteries and morgues, and then, as a final act, annihilating the living population to expand his collection.
