Sinopsis: Un excéntrico inventor de Alemania del Este viaja a Los Ángeles para vender el prototipo de un coche revolucionario, que utiliza zanahorias y otros vegetales como combustible y que no contamina. Desgraciadamente, en su búsqueda de alguien dispuesto a financiar la fabricación en serie del vehículo, no hace más que toparse con un chiflado tras otro.
