Sinopsis: Homer Wells ha vivido durante toda su vida entre las paredes del aislado orfanato de St Cloud. Cuando llega a la adolescencia, el director del centro, el doctor Larch, lo prepara para ser su sucesor. Pero el joven siente la necesidad de abandonar el orfanato y conocer el mundo.
