Sinopsis: Tras la muerte de sus padres, el pequeño James se ve obligado a vivir con sus dos crueles y repulsivas tías. La visita de un extraño personaje, una araña a la que salva, le proporciona un medio para escapar: un melocotón gigante que comienza a crecer desmesuradamente en su jardín. Cuando se introduzca dentro de él conocerá a otros pintorescos personajes.
