Sinopsis: Lassie, el perro que todo el mundo quiere, regresa en una nueva y excitante aventura. La familia Turner, Papá, la pequeña Jennifer, el adolescente Matt y su nueva mamá han decidido empezar una nueva vida en el campo, abandonando la ciudad por la salvaje Virginia. El traslado ha supuesto problemas para todos, especialmente para Matt, que se siente perdido y solo en su nuevo entorno.
