Sinopsis: Cuando Joan Boothe (Barbara Stanwyck), hace un viaje de acompañamiento a Las Vegas, junto a su esposo, el periodista y escritor David Boothe (Robert Preston), el juego va a despertar en ella un alto interés, cuando al recibir unas fichas por parte de Horace Corrigan (Stephen MacNally), el empresario de un casino, sienta que ganar "no es para nada difícil". Lo que sigue, quizás le demuestre que el juego es traidor.
