Sinopsis: Matthew Hopkins es el cazador de brujas más importante de Inglaterra. Viaja junto a su brutal ayudante, por la campiña, prestando sus servicios donde lo llaman y aprovechándose de aquellas jovencitas acusadas de brujería que querían vivir un poco más. En uno de estos pueblos, Hopkins tortura a un párroco acusado de brujería y obtiene de su sobrina favores sexuales a cambio del perdón. Pero el novio de la chica, un soldado de Cromwell, jura venganza.
