Shredder

ORIGIN: Oroku Saki was an ambitious member of the Foot Clan, a Japanese ninja dynasty that became a criminal organization after managing to exile the honorable leader Hamato Yoshi, who was eventually killed by Saki in New York (though his pet rat Splinter, who mutated in the sewers along with three turtles, later attempted to avenge him). His alter ego "Shredder" was used in the 2003 animated series by Ch'rell, a vicious Utrom (an alien race) who escaped from prison to hide on planet Earth.

DESCRIPTION: Oroku Saki is a fair-skinned Japanese adult with short black hair and dark eyes, while Ch'rell is a small, red, polyp-like alien with blue eyes. In the 1987 animated series, his outfit consisted of a black suit with a silver samurai helmet, several metal plates with curved spikes, a gray surcoat, and a violet cape. In the 1990 film, he loses the surcoat, his suit turns reddish, and his cape becomes grayish, while in the 1991 sequel, his suit turns purple. In later series and films, he loses the cape, and his suit is replaced by armor.
